[ This would feel oddly domestic, if it weren't for the setting's effects that keep driving Hien to make the best soup that's ever been made and trying to think of a sob story connected to that, but he's... holding on pretty well.

After the carrots have been diced enough, Hien gathers all the ingredients and cooks them. The end result is a very creamy carrot and sweet potato soup! He pours that into a bowl and hands it to Thorns with a spoon, just in time for him to go blind again. ]

"This should be good enough."
